The entire day, from start to end, was so special and it was amazing to have all of the people that we love around us. We got ready in my family home with my bridesmaids, my aunty, Dad and my brother. It was a very relaxing morning of hair and make up and of course, croissants. A family favourite.
The house was filled with lots of music, laughter and a little nervous energy, which was calmed by some celebratory champagne. Both mine and my bridesmaids dresses were custom made by White Story, and the dressmaker personally came to help me get the dress on and do up all of the buttons. The finishing touch was a hand-embroidered veil that my Grandmother had purchased in Venice a few years ago (before we were even engaged!) so it was special to wear on the day and felt like we had a part of her there with us. Showing my Dad the dress for the first time was one of my favourite moments, he was very emotional.
The rest of the night was magical, from seeing all of the candles lit in the dining room, to the funny yet sentimental speeches, to the dance floor. The energy was incredible, so much love, emotion and happiness in the air.
