We knew getting married down in Lorne in early November was risky with the weather and it certainly lived up to our expectations... it poured all week and was freezing. Charlie and I had decided to follow the tradition of staying apart the night before the wedding. Unlucky for me I got woken up at 5:30 by our little girl Rosie but took her into bed with my parents. The four of us sat there looking out the windows at the ocean with the heavy grey clouds rolling in from the Otways and at the rain coming down heavily! It was not how I had imagined my wedding day but it was such a special moment with my mum and dad!
After a coffee at our Lorne local with my gorgeous bridesmaids, we then spent the day lounging around the house in our Pomme, drinking champagne, blasting some Whitney classics, luxing it up with face masks, instructing our heavily pregnant maid to sit down and praying for sunshine (which popped it's head out on a couple of occasions)!
I had wanted a relaxed morning with the girls and my parents but also loved having my brothers, their kids, and our little girl Rosie all floating around just like our normal Lorne days are. The morning went by so quickly and I wish I could have bottled up that feeling of being at the house with them all and the anticipation of seeing Charlie at the altar. It was the most amazing feeling that really set the tone for the rest of the day and night!
