We were lucky enough to get married in the beautiful Gold Coast Hinterland at Austinvilla Estate. The beautiful property allowed us all to get ready onsite and we were met by a beautiful spread for breakfast and fresh coffee. I had such a lovely, relaxed morning laughing and dancing around with my five bridesmaids, my mum and my mother in law to be.

We tried to ignore the groom and groomsmen social media posts about spending their morning at the beach, squeezing in a game of tennis and eating pastries from the local bakery. Our getting ready process was slightly longer, but I enjoyed every minute of it!

As I wanted the day to be as stress free as possible for our mums, we had 8 people to glam up the morning of our wedding, I had a beautiful team including Lilly Rathie and Lou Hansen on Make up and Melanie Halpin on hair. One of my best friends, bridesmaid and talented hairdresser Pauline was also on hand and pampered our mums who were over the moon at being including in the preparations.

After a tough few years of being away from family, these were some of the best moments for me. Seeing all of my closest family and friends in the same room was such a buzz and everyone was so happy to be together. Having my family in Victoria and living in Queensland had proved pretty tough over the last couple of years and this was something I was unsure I would be able to have, but our timing was incredibly fortunate and is something we definitely do not take for granted.

Seeing my beloved Victorians enjoying the Queensland sunshine all together was something very special to me.

We managed to be ready on time and got to enjoy a little photo shoot with our incredible photographers Ryan and Danielle from The Lane Creators, we had been in our comfy Pomme PJ’s, we were ready and it was time to pop some champagne.  I was then ready to get dressed and share a first look with my dad, something I will hold close to my heart forever.

Seeing my partner Michael at the end of the aisle was magical, I was so excited that I kissed him as soon as I got to the end, this made everyone laugh, and had our celebrant in stitches saying we had a few things to get through first. It was without a doubt one of the best days of my life, thank you Pomme for being a part of it!
